World Cup Second Round - Brazil v Ghana **SPOILERS**

Well wasnt that impressed with Brazils performance, pretty shoddy defence and their midfield all but disappeared tbh. Ronaldinho did sweet fa for most of the match, if anything Ze Roberto played pretty well. Kaka was useless as well, hardly did anything worthwhile. Cafu is another that played very well...almost had 2 goals to his credit:p...hes got some stamina for a fella whos almost 40 yrs old.

Wasnt the brazilian performance i was expecting from them, hardly had possession and were lucky Ghana couldnt shoot for **** or else it would have been a much closer match imho. Feel sorry for Ghana, if anything they outplayed Brazil but a high line defence cost them in the end. Tbh i thought ghana should have had a goal or 2 but couldnt quite finish it off.

On another note, fatboy aka Ronaldo now the all time highest goal scorer in WC history \o/:D. Am quite pleased for him as he definitely deserves it.

Anyways not a very good brazilian performance, if anything they played like England today and thats not a good thing imho..only thing separating them and England is the fact that Brazil has the killer touch:p.

Next game will be very interesting and Brazil will definitely have to push it up a gear or 2 especially if its Spain they meet. Still got my money on Brazil to win it though although i cant say they are the clear favourites to win it anymore.
 
didnt they win 3-0? and the commentators still kept going on "why cant see some of that of that beautiful game they play" "15mins left maybe they will pull of some magic" WTF U IDIOTS! They are winning 3-0 any way what diff does it make if they aint play as well as they can. When we dont play as well as we can we manage 1 goal and have some very close chances :rolleyes:
 
They did all they had to do win the game with one eye on Spain/France game at weekend. Hardly any wonder they took it easy today.

As for adriano goal being ofside. Was marginal but probs was however earlier inthe game both he and fatboy ronaldo were played clean through and not offside and were given off so it kinda balanced it up IMO.
 
What's annoying is that because everyone loves fatty, Ronaldinho has been relegated to just passing it around. I'm yet to see him have a run with the ball :( .

Is it? I would have thought Ronaldinho's greatest attribute was his ablilty to run at defenders and cause defences problems, I wish he would play for Brazil like he does for Barcelona i.e. playing to his strengths.

Not in my opinion. He can clip the ball over a back 4 better than anyone, and he sprays passes about with ease. If his strength was running and beating a man, he'd be winger.

The biggest separator is the fact that England can defend.

When he plays for Barcelona he is almost a winger, he always waits for the ball on the left side, maybe not hugging the touchline like a natural winger but he defenitley spends most of his time out wide.
 
My theory is Brazil are playing to match the opponent, and can easily go up a gear as seen against Ghana. They are cruising through when they don’t need to go flat out. The Ghanaians played much better for most of the game but they can’t finish to ****, was so frustrating to see every attack being fluffed. Brazil didn’t need to play out of their socks and they never looked worried one bit.
