After that abysmal first half, please please let someone else take set pieces other than Beckham, he's absolutely dire atm, hitting it to the first man on a corner kick, then over hitting it on a free kick etc. I haven't seen a good ball in from him yet on set pieces
Started off well then gradually dropped down to our usual standard. Why, when only 30 mins into the game is every single player back for a corner? Shouldn't we have at least one person around the 1/2 way line, just comes straight back at us again. We need some other outlet up front, Gerrard and Lampard just aren't offering enough support to Rooney.

If Sven doesnt bring walcot on he will be slaughtered in the press tomorrow , win or lose. Give him a go , say 10-15 mins into the seconf half.

Well so far my prediction (first page) is just about right, aside from the personell selection. I don't see us scoring with this formation unless it's a bad defensive error from Ecuador. Roomey is way too isolated. Bring on Lennon for Beckham, Walcott for Carrick and let's play 4-4-2 like we know.

England have been pretty poor imo. Beckham, Lampard and Gerrard have all been as bad as each other. Joe Cole isn't quite as bad but why does he follow up a performance where he was quite productive with one where he only show boats?
I've said it before and say it again but a CM with Lampard and Gerrard just doesn't work, they just don't play well so you have sacrafice one. Gerrard is the better player so fat frank to the bench. Many of the big international teams aren't scared of leaving big name players on the bench but I don't think Sven has the courage to do that.
I don't the performance will get much better but England will win and the manager and captain will say the result matters not the performance
