Lets say the world ends friday, which it isnt, what signs would we start to see?

surely things would happen now?

It would depend on what the cause was. If it was a giant comet hitting the earth, you wouldn't notice anything out of the ordinary until practically the moment of impact, when you'd see the sky turning dark and a big fireball streaking towards the ground.

It it was something environmental then there should be a period of build up towards it. We should have seen widespread earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes, hurricanes...etc etc, by now.
