World ends 2012

21st? Better not upset my travel plans, I will be ****ed off! Would be typical of England's public transport to be affected by a silly little thing like the end of the world :)
 
It's hard to understand why people get sucked into all this stuff. Have you watched Doomsday Preppers on National Geographic. Crazy dudes!

Funny thing is, I remember watching on the news about 12 years ago, they said that the world will end in 2012, I thought 'lol plenty of time'................. :o its here already! cant wait for The Hobbit!
 
I've got an advent calendar for the first time in about 8 years and I will be DAMNED if I'm not going to finish it.

There have been hundreds of end of the world predictions. I've no doubt there will be hundreds more in the future.

This one is particularly dumb because it's a religious prophecy for a religion that few if any of the prophecy believers follow. That's spectacularly dumb. I can sort of understand people who believe in a religion believing in a prophecy from that religion...but people who don't believe in a religion have no reason at all to believe in any prophecies from that religion. It's not even internally consistent.
 
Well, I started watching the video and thought "Photon Belt? Huh?"

So I watched some more. Well...thanks for the laughs. Although it's a bit worrying that there are some people who might be fooled by this grotesque pretence and suffer as a result.

EDIT: Not only is it silly babble trading on ignorance to gain influence and money, it's a repeat repost. They just make up new dates repeatedly. Here's a reference to the "Photon belt prophecy" from 1996, when there had already been one failed prophecy about it:
