World Endurance Championship (WEC) 2025

Haha Jensons' sound, he was a completely different guy when he was doing F1, changed him as it was properly serious and all that money involved etc, since he's now doing other stuff its almost like theres less on the line and he actually enjoys driving again..

It was very peoply yesterday, supposed the weather held tbh, we were expecting rain, because, Spa...

If you were there with the kids you should have dropped me a PM, me and 2 other guys are there on general support, but we have dedicated support for Penske and WRT, could have probably gotten you a bit more access..
The nice weather and the end of the half-term break for the French-speaking part of the country meant a huge turnout I guess.
Had no idea you were there. Do you work on the IT side of things?
The wife & kids managed to get a few move driver cards including the BMW M Hybrids. The kids enjoyed themselves so that's the most important part :)

Nah we do comms for WEC Orga and most of the teams, drove back earlier today, left Stavelot at 0630 :/

Still, only 3 weeks till Lemons, 2 more weeks away...

Fun drive ;)
At least you were going against the traffic. Will stop derailing the thread now - enjoy Le Mans. Will tap you up for next year :p

Looking forward to LeMans this year and my yearly see how long I can stay up and how much of the race I can watch before passing out session. :D

How are people watching it now? I used to have some sort of extra discovery subscription in prime that let me watch it,(via Eurosport) but from just checking my app it appears to be gone… Obviously I’d rather pay for something for a more reliable experience.

I'll be honest I paid for the Eurosport app a few years ago and it was absolutely useless. I missed the start of the race because of connection problems. When it did work it was 480p for the first couple of hours and even then it buffered every few minutes. Finally from about 4 hours in it was relatively stable in HD... until the end when the problems came back. Clearly they didn't have the capacity for the amount of users. I've given up on it after that.

There's usually some alternative methods which are free and generally better quality.

Not sure if the normal wec tv streams will cover it?
We just get the track cut in the truck..

Apparently Aston Martin have basically until Friday night to make a decision on calling up Drugovich or Vandoorne to replace Lance Stroll for Canada if they need to with Earl Bamber on the hook as backup for Cadillac if needed and Theo Pourchaire for Peugeot.

Going through the not-going-to-le mans blues right now...bloody google photos reminding me all through this week of past years :(

Will be watching as much as I can whilst crying through my hands.

Theres always next year!

they were talking about live streaming on youtube, is that not the case now :(
Many of the cars have live onboard streaming race footage from inside the cockpit on YT.
To watch it with the official feed and commentary you need to pay for WEC TV : https://fiawec.tv/offers

The Le Mans pass is €18
Season pass is €50
Each race is €9

For those that listen to the driver audio, if that's a thing, let me know which car you think sounds best...

You don't sound like you enjoy your job :p
Can you not change to a different industry?

The jobs not as good as the people I work with tbh, most of them are sound AF, and if it wasn't for the shared misery then I wouldn't still be here lol
