World of Warcraft: Classic

Never understood how you could be 'ganked'. You can choose to res away from where you died. If you can't fathom out how to a, run b, res somewhere else. Then the term ganked should possibly be substituted with stupid.

You never been on the receiving end of a griefing ganker? Your post implies you haven't. It's a massive pita. I know because I've been victim and ganker many times.

Sounds like you don't understand what being ganked is :p

Ganked means getting done over by someone much higher level than you (or being massively outnumbered), so yeah, running back and ressing has nothing to do with it. Sure, if you keep running back there and the ganker keeps killing you then absolutely, that's silly.

Not always can you run someone jumped me in felwood once so i jumped him on my rogue and everytime he would res again i jumped and killed him again. Poor fella actually ran in the direction of the graveyard and after the fourth or fifth kill he was dead right where the graveyard will ressurect you so he basically had no where to go and i was still pretty mad.

Thats a corpse camp when you have to log out because you ganked the wrong rogue and he will not let it go. :)

Some guy ganked my friends alt while he was leveling so we corpse camped him and his mate to the point they were ressing at the grave yard in The Hinterlands with res sickness and trying to hearth but we killed them before they could, I'm sure they learned their lesson.

WoW Classic EU pre-test launch is on the 8th August - 8pm CEST.

https://blue.mmo-champion.com/topic...-test-8-august-800-pm-cest-and-minimum-specs/

Hello!

Our global pre-launch test of WoW Classic will begin on Thursday, 8 August at 8:00 p.m. CEST and is scheduled to end on Friday, August 9. This test will be available to all World of Warcraft players with a current subscription or active game time in all regions. The maximum character level will be 15.

We ask that players please log-in and play as much as possible during the first two hours of the test – 11:00 a.m. PDT to 1:00 p.m. PDT, as that is when we’ll be actively monitoring for issues important to launch.

WoW Classic is now ready for all players to install from the Blizzard Battle.net Desktop App in advance of the test. To install WoW Classic:

  1. Open the Blizzard Battle.net Desktop App and select World of Warcraft in the game selection menu on the left.
  2. Under the Version dropdown menu, select World of Warcraft Classic. If you have more than one World of Warcraft account, you’ll see a second dropdown for Account. In that column, select the active account to associate with your WoW Classic install.
  3. Click the Install button. You’ll see an installation progress bar that will show you when the installation is complete.
Minimum Specs

We’ve finalized the minimum specifications required to play WoW Classic on PC or Mac. Please note that these are much lower than the minimum specs required to play Battle for Azeroth. Recommended specs are the same for both.

In our hardware testing, we found that we were able to successfully run WoW Classic on systems manufactured and released in the 2007-2009 timeframe, and thanks to improvements in how we build and distribute game data, the hard drive space requirements are actually smaller than they were in version 1.12 of original WoW.

Character name reservation for WoW Classic opens next week on Monday, August 12 at 3:00 p.m. PDT. Players with an active subscription or game time on their World of Warcraft account will be able to create up to three characters per WoW account and have the name(s) reserved before WoW Classic releases worldwide on Monday, August 26 at 3:00 p.m. PDT.

We will release details regarding realm names and realm types later this week so you can coordinate with your friends on where to begin your adventure. If there are high numbers of players congregating on individual realms during the name reservation/character creation process, we will post warnings about the potential for long queues on those realms, giving you time to choose alternate realms. Also please note: Character creation will be limited to only one faction per realm on PvP realms.

After release, the number of WoW Classic character that can be created per WoW game account will change to the following limits:

  • A maximum of 10 characters per WoW Classic realm.
  • A maximum of 50 characters across all WoW Classic realms in your region.
  • Only one faction per realm on PvP realms.
There is no overlap regarding character limits with World of Warcraft, so if you have 50 characters in Battle for Azeroth you can create 50 more characters in WoW Classic.

WoW Classic’s worldwide release is almost here so it’s time to get started organizing and planning your path to level 60!
