EQ2 DOES have EAX2 and Dolby Surround support although I don't feel it's especially important myself. Having said that go for a Radeon Crossfire Board and it's definatly a non-issue as the sound on those boards is considerably better than any other mobo out. Not up to £100+ sound card standards but not far behuind and more than enough for use in EQ2 or any game TBH.

Mobo choice is already decided, generally a bad idea to use a new chipset in a product for a client, I always go for proven and mature technology and something that I have been hands on with for a couple of months, sus out the kinks/compatibility issues etc.BigDom said:
Really this thread is about the graphics, and everyone has been very helpful. I think the X1900XT seems like the high-end VGA solution here, but the option of SLI does appeal (at a cost), I just was worried that there may be issues with SLI and EQ-2.
In the future however I will be looking the the ATI chipsets very closely, and Crossfire of course!
