Guys Ive not overclocked a CPU since a good old Q6600.
So my PC getting on abit now and due to GFX prices I thought I would clock my GPU and CPU, and try and hold off buying a 3060ti till this price insanity calms down.

So

6600k with Noctua large air cooler
GTX770

I put my V core to 1.3V (nice and stable)
RAM Im just doing 2666mhz loose timings and set to 1.2V

The CPU Im upto a 47multi (4.7Ghz) and I can mine with no errors and run Sandra benchmark apps and 30 min of prime95 fine (Yes I know should run for longer) and play games. My temps Max are

Core 0 45C
Core 1 43C
Core 2 38C
Core 3 45C

Thats at 100% running prime.

So do I need to worry or willy wave or any advice from you guys? (Bar try 4.8).......

Cheers

if you are able to rum yours at 4.7 wiht just 1.28v that is a great CPU. i have been runnning my 6600k at 4.6 at 1.35v for more than 4 years wiht no issues. i try to increase the uncore to 4.6 but was not able to be stable with that voltage and ididnt wanted to go over 1.35v

Cheers Robert. Maybe I will go with 1.35V limit. Do you adjust the Load Line voltage at all?
I only have 2666mhz RAM TBH as back when I put this system together RAM speed made very little difference to performance 7 years ago, however now with Ryzens I would prob go for faster when I need to change CPU etc.....

My setup still gives me over 60fps on project cars 2 at 1920x1080 so Im happy.

On my mobo I set Load Line to 4 out of 7 and the current capacity to 140%. as for the ram i got same as you a pair of 2666mhz but I was able to overclock them to 3000 and even lower the latency to 14, you could try that to overclock yours by setting the volt to 1.35 and increasing the speed then they with lower latency.

Mine are only hypers with the small ali heat sinks so was just going to leave at the normal 1.2V. People comfortable sticking 1.35V through them?
