World's first single slot GTX260+ graphics card

Is there even a market for slim 260s? No modern mobo that I'm aware of can't cater -- physically -- for two double-slot cards? I guess the argument is that two of these in crossfire will improve case airflow over two normal 260s?

But surely these smaller cards will run hotter? Especially seeing as the fin pitch on the fan looks to be vertical.

Now that would be impressive :p

I think its impressive!! Everyone saying its pointless is wrong lol, people using small format PC's but still want performance. You can get i5 and i7 M-ATX boards so this will let you have a decent graphics card to go with it if your case doesnt have room for a double slot card.

And Galaxy are a pretty innovative company and have some great products! If I remember correctly, they're the only company that make a GTX275 that you can volt mod as they use a different voltage regulator (or somthing) to every other company. Its only a little thing, but it makes me a bit jealous as I'd love a bit more juice going through my card haha

Still remember the bargain basement Galaxy 7300gt. Same speed as a 7600gs as came better specced than the rest of the bunch, gddr3 higher clocks and perhaps more pipes, and zalman fan. Wish we saw them more in the UK.

SOOOO how long is it? it looks rather long there :p saying that the GTX260 was quite a big card anyway

I m under the impression that the cooler is going to be loud and it will run hot as well, still interested in finding out

As others have said, I can't imagine what takes these guys so long to make custom coolers and then launch them when no one wants the card behind the cooler.

THe thing that really bugs me is, say the Sapphire vapour cooler, they spend ages coming up with it, loads of people have their cards with ***** cooling by then, why not make the cooler available, at cost + shipping, to existing users who want to increase cooling capacity/decrease noise or whatever other reason.

Surely by making them available they give their own users an option, aswell as giving say, HIS card buyers an option that might persuade them to go Sapphire next time.

SO here, rather than launch a card, why not launch the cooler for the thousands already with 260gtx's who might want a slim profile cooler.

I'd kill for one GPU maker to sell cards, then as quickly as possible offer a slim version, a silent version and a ridiculous 4 slot insane cooling capacity and silent version, all direct from them, at a low profit.
