It's looking more like Worms 2 at the moment but it will still be well worth picking up when its out. According to gamespot its out in feb.... keep your eyes pealed! It's going to be great to play it online again.

It definitely is Worms 2 without a shadow of a doubt, being that they confirmed it was Worms 2 and have released screenies of Worms 2 ;) :D

It was the last good Worms game in my opinion anyway. Can't wait for it. Hopefully will be Feb, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's not. They've got a lot of other useless tat to throw out as well this release cycle

Just going to keep checking the live marketplace every Wednesday as I think they're sticking to their original premise of releasing new games on a Wednesday (even if it isn't every Wednesday). Can't wait for it to come out though will be such a laugh playing with some mates!

It's been confirmed as Paperboy tomorrow

Paperboy was great... 25 years ago. Not something I want to bother playing anymore though - certainly not worth any money.

*sits back and continues to wait for Worms*

Sooner rather than later for Worms... Please stop releasing the retro tat. More games like Marble Blast Ultra, Uno, Zuma and worms please.

I have downloaded probably half of the games from XBLA and most are not good, though they were good in their day, now they don't cut the mustard :)

The only XBLA me and the missus play is MBU, UNO (the wife plays that way more than me.. ;) ) Zuma and Texas Hold 'Em.

old retro crap?

how dare you!

I dare quite easily, I played this the first time round! I don't think games like this have a place in the XBLA, at least not for what they charge for them.

The other week M$ announced the next 10 XBLA titles:

3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures (Wanako Games / Sierra Online)
Alien Hominid HD (The Behemoth)
Band of Bugs (NinjaBee)
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Konami)
Catan (Big Huge Games Inc. / Microsoft Game Studios)
Eets: Chowdown (Klei Entertainment Inc.)
LUXOR 2 (MumboJumbo LLC)
Paperboy (Digital Eclipse / Midway)
Root Beer Tapper (Digital Eclipse / Midway)
Worms (Team 17 Software Ltd)

The only 2 of those which are ancient overpriced stuff which about 5 people will buy are the 2 we've had so far Root Tapper & Paperboy!

Castlevania is the right side of retro (i.e not 25 years old!) to be worth having on XBLA same as SF2 was.

I haven't brought an Arcade game since Cloning Clyde and Uno! There's been a total lack of decent original games for about 12 months now, we need more Marble blasts not more decades old games which kill your nostalgia of them.

Totally agree, all these 1st gen arcade game ports are really getting me down. Port MAME, have done with it.

I'd rather see the focus shift towards things like Outpost: Kaloki X where there has obviously been effort made to create a decent gaming experience that is worth a few quid of anyones money.

Amen. There are some half decent games on xbla but they are the newer ones, they are worth a look. Cloning clyde, outpost kaloki, heavy weapon etc.

Paperboy wasn't eve that good in the 80's. Why pay for tat like that. Very little effort goes into the port, atleast with something like heavy weapon they have had a go.

If they wanna go old, full games from other consoles fine, not spectrum games.

Guess what we're getting on Live Arcade this week................drum roll.............naff all

http://www.joystiq.com/2007/02/19/this-week-on-xbla-absolutely-nothing/

Why do M$ continually disappoint with XBLA they go release a list of 10 games to get people excited (though it did say they wouldn't be released every week) then proceed to dripfeed out the stuff no one wants.

I still want to know wtf happened to Sonic on Arcade it was there on the E3 videos and has since disappeared totally???

I agree with wyrdo I don't like the way they are re-releasing what's been out for years on end it seems that there sqeezing lemen juice from a dead squirrel. I think they should be free or earned though fully completing 360 games. The only game I'd consider buying is probberly Castlevania: SOTN

How much do these arcade games work out at?

About £3.40 for the 400 point ones (paperboy, uno etc) so £6.80 for the 800 point ones (Street Fighter 2) and £10.20 for the 1200 point ones (Lumines, Billiards)

To compare with the Wii VC, NES games cost £3.50, SNES games cost £5.50, N64 games cost £7.00 & Mega Drive games cost £5.60.

LOL! Sorry I cracked up reading that!

Yeah some of the games....i wonder WHY! But its fun when I play SF2 full screen, and it just reminds me of shoving those 10p's into a cabinet and that noise when you do, BRAaaang, or whatever it goes :D
