Worst day ever.

I wouldn't stress too much. I thought that about my EU paper last year and came out with a mid 2:1. During the exam I felt like just giving up as it was a complete disaster.

Just put it behind you and don't stress about it.

Worst day ever?

I guess you have a lot of living to do yet.

Believe me - life gets very much worse.

However, if you play it right, life has the odd reward along the way too.

Oh - BTW - some people who have had really difficult days in their lives might get a little hacked off with your choice of thread title.

Especially those of us who work in IT ;) :D

Just finished the week from hell, couldn't wait for it to end.

So you can get 70% of it wrong and pass.

Am I missing something here?

if your at uni all the assessments and assignements need to add up to >40%, so he may only need 29% from this one test to get over 40%

So you can get less then half correct and still pass.................

pretty much.
in the first year no one cares, but 2nd and 3rd years the grades you get actually count towards the final mark

Yeah but as the poster above put, the grades in the second and final year count towards your degree.. if your only getting 40% your on for a third... which isn't very good ;) A pass isn't everything.

It takes a while to settle into Uni, so that's why they have the first year to settle in and get up to speed with the work. I did pretty good in the first year, which helped when it came to placements this year as it meant I had first year grades and half of my year two grades to use on my CV.

Exams can be redone, it's no big deal if you failed.

Today I was at a funeral, then I had to listen to every member of my direct family bitching about other members. Not the worst day ever, but worse than failing an exam, and it's the start of a lot of bickering and arguing over what to do with the estate, and my uncle trying to estrange other relatives. :(

Damn thats pretty harsh is all that sorry to hear about your loss. You would have thought they could have at least had the respect not bicker about it all and family on the day of a funeral! I hate hearing about things like that, fighting and bickering over possesions of someone whos passed away, much like vultures.

I need a minimum of 40% overall in each module to pass the year. I am on my second year of my law degree so although 40% would get me a pass i really need 60+. My EU exam last week went good but land earlier today was a disaster.

Even though if i get 40% thats pritty crap, id rather get that than have to retake as you get capped at 40% then anyway. My third year will be worth 66% and this years worth 33% so i will have to work even harder next year.

Ive just got up from a good 10 hour sleep and although i am still angry with myself im over it. I only need about 29% so hopefully i will get that even though my paper was total poo.

I have my tort exam in 3 days, so starting at 8am tomorrow moring im going to revise day and night. I put so much work into land but it was to little to late. I dont have muct time for tort but i will try my best. Thats all i can do now.

That's it? That's your worst day ever? Pffft, think yourself lucky.

I was thinking that.

I do get sick of people saying...

"oh if this is your worst day then count yourself lucky, i remember when i had my leg blown off, caught aids, all my family died, my girlfriend dumped me, i won the lottery and lost the ticket etc etc..."

I am sure when you were younger you had various moments when you thought - my god things cannot get worse - it's all about the situation you are in at the time.

Frankly for those of you who are older and do say this, it would be quite pathetic at an older age if you had not experinced worse, it is hardly an achievement to have done.
