I can remember back in the very early days a text adventure that was released that started
' you awake in a small room with hole in the floor and a rode ladder going down, what would you like to do?'

And that was wher the game ended as the txt parser had no commands to go down the ladder. Needless to say it didn't sell very well

Everyone said it was bad at the time, but I was really, really tempted to buy it purely because the graphics looked amazing back then (on paper)!

What they don't tell you about is the god forsaken need for speed feel of the game.

Imagine say Outrun when you can't remember the high shift key/button... imagine playing the game where the car zips to full speed of said gear in 2 seconds and sticks at that set speed.

I payed 30 quid for it

Daikatana, Master of Orion III, FIFA 97 (which was odd as I really enjoyed FIFA 96 and FIFA RTWC 98) and Evil Days of Luckless John are just four turkeys that spring to mind.

Popularity is not the same as quality. In fact, Black Ops was implied to be the solution to all of MW2's ills and a game which would bring the much-loved CoD series back on track. Millions of people then had the misfortune (urged on by biased, paid-for reviews) to buy a shizzle game that is still unfinished to this day - one you can't even get your money back on.

Based on all those factors BO is one of the worst ever. At least many of the totally awful games in this thread are low-budget.
