Worst game you have played?

Objectivity is basically impossible, granted, however the thread title is "worst game" so people could at least try.

As I said above (edited post) very few truly bad games exist, excluding things like move tie ins because I don't think they count due to the way they are developed i.e on the cheap with no effort, however we can broaden that to account for personal opinion without listing games which quite clearly are not in any way bad but people just didn't like.

I mean people listing games like Bioshock, Far Cry 2 or even BF3, these are games which many people didn't like, which I accept completely, but worst game they've ever played? No, sorry that is just absurd.

Comparing it to films, I despise the Fast and Furious series, however I can't realistically call them all "bad" films because they obviously offer something which justifies their existence or people wouldn't be watching them and paying for sequels.

While I wouldn't agree with those games listed I could see why some people may list them if their range of games played isn't very big.

As I originally said it's personal anyway, you can't be right or wrong here when the title is Worst game YOU have ever played?

Worst game I have played on pc is silent hill 4. No mouse support which is just unfathomable!

That game that was mean to showcase dx10 and required 8gb of ram maybe 6 years ago. It's an rts sort of...got it free with my 9800gtx+... stormrise!

Fable III is easily the most disappointing game I've ever played, the only reason I didn't suggest it in my post earlier in the thread was because it's not a really a bad game, it's just a bad Fable game, they got so much right with Fable II and then threw nearly all of it out with III.

This. I think I finished it, but more from being bored with nothing else to play than liking it a lot.

What in the name?! Fable 3 on PC?! When was this? I must look like an utter fool :P
I loved Fable I and II and was so unhappy when i found out Fable 3 wouldnt come to pc.......

the thread says "worst game" not "most disappointing game" or "least liked game", it is quite clear that many of the games mentioned in this thread can in no way objectively be considered the "worst game" anyone has played unless their library of played games is incredibly small and genre specific.

To be fair the reason most people are posting disappointing games is that the op kinda changed things on the second page. The thread title is worst game as you say, but then he wrote:

Perhaps using the word worst was not really the best word to have used, on reflection i think disappointed would have been better.

What game most disappointed you? If I can edit the thread I will change the title.

I think this has caused some confusion...

Probably the newest Simcity once I realised just how fundamentally flawed the mechanics were. It's not a terrible game relative to everything but certainly left the most sour taste in my mouth from a game purchase.

Days of Thunder on the Amiga/ST.
Truly shocking.

Oh god yes, that was awful. I got it for free with my A500 as part of the screen gems pack, what a poor selection of games.

I was amazed at how they could make a racing game that completely lacked any feeling of speed, you just chugged around the track.

Agreed, although even relative to everything else it was kinda poor, mainly because EA have destroyed it. And that's not even mentioning that fact that you can't really make cities anymore, they're more like smaller districts.

Sim City 4 should have just been re-released as an 'HD' version with better windows 7/8 support (it crashes a lot) and it would have sold better.

I really didn't enjoy dead space. After messing around to get it working on PC, it was a bit boring and predictable. Couldn't make it too far in.

BF3, worst because it is one of the only games i've played where 75% of the time it's just not enjoyable!

Actual worst game, probably Super Thunder Blade on the Sega Megadrive, which I remember being really annoyed about at the time as I chose it over Streets of Rage which was awesome!

Kentucky Route Zero. Can't bring myself to finish the 2nd part which was bugged and had me stuck in 1 area for 20 minutes trying to get out. Still galls me that I paid for the whole season based on reviews which said it was a work of genius. Complete pile of poo.

I can't really think of any god awful games that I have bought and only played once because they are so bad, although my brain may be trying to protect me from bad memories of wasted money.

Played a few games that have left me feeling disappointed though.

BF3, I just got caught up in the too much of the hype around it. Although over the last two years it is easily my most played FPS.

Metro 2033, I just never really got on with it, played it to completion but never felt much love for the characters or the story.

Spore, A series of poor mini games that sort of linked together.

Star Wars Battlefront 2, compared to the first one a major disappointment.

Supreme Commander 2, they just forgot what made SC and SC:FA so good and over simplified it.
