Worst game you have played?

Probably get flamed for this but the worst game I ever bought was Dead Island. Game started off really good but it was the same entire game from start to finish, nothing changed except the scenery. Same enemies, Game never ever got harder and if you got in a car you couldn't be stopped.

Every time I played it it just resorted to me driving a car around. Really boring and disappointed with that game. But that is my personal opinion, I know it is a really popular game.

Quite the opposite. I thought it was the general consensus that Dead Island was pretty poor. Graphics were nice, but the checkpoint system and repetitive kicking of zombies in the head grew tiresome fast.

Dishonored.
Worst stealth mechanics I've ever seen, the Elder Scrolls games do it better, and they aren't even dedicated stealth games.
Gameplay is overly linear and simple, virtually no challenge.
Good end/bad end which shoehorns you into 2 types of play, neither of which appealed to me.

Must have played a different game to me. Imo it has the best stealth mechanics I have ever seen and the movement is definitely the best I hav experienced. Also, it is not even slightly linear:confused:

Can't tell if serious. I mean, the game is okay, but it's very linear indeed.

Pig, you must not of played many stealth games if you think that Dishonored's stealth mechanics are the best. The A.I. is painfully stupid, the takedowns are rigid and undynamic with zero flexibility. It's good as a hack and slash/magic game but the stealth is complete cack.

Ooh can't believe I forgot about this one.

Star Wars : The Old Republic.

Started off good, went down hill fast once the novelty/nostalgia wore off.

I was about to rage about this but after I'd started my rant I realised you are not talking about KotOR and there was (is?) a game called SWTOR...Something I must have suppressed deep down because I'm pretty sure I put quite a bit of time (2 level 50s iirc) into it when it was released all the time thinking it will get better any time now.......:(

Judging by the edit it seems you are angling more towards the most disappointing game, rather than the plain worst game. Here's a few of mine:

-Sensible Soccer 2006 - no improvement over 16bit version from more than a decade previous
-Micromachines V4 - as above
-Outrun 2006 - as above, every sequel released in 2006 was a turd it seems, very buggy, very boring basically you just hold down the accelerator and steer.
-Medal of Honor: Airbourne - worst in the series, very short as well

Actually scratch that, Flatout 3 trumps pretty much everything. Without question the worst sequel of all time, normally you accept that good games may have inferior sequels but they are seriously taking the **** labelling it as a Flatout game, it plays/looks like something out of the 1990s.

dont talk Krap, Dishonored is one of the best games there is..

Linear?.....linear is the best way to game, i cant think of anything worst than walking around Fallout 3 as bored as hell, collecting tin cans, Bobbleheads and old photos

There isn't a best way to game lol, linear and open world games both have advantages and disadvantages and with Linear it usually depends on how good the storyline is.

Crysis 2, for me. It was like watching a movie where i have to press a button occasaionally so it can progress. Which, as i understand, is the same as CoD Black Ops, BF3 and all the other "big brand" games.

I really hope this fashion comes to an end.

In relation to the game, it's one dimensional. It's being stuck on a course with little to no real decisions to make. The story is written before you lift a finger, really.

Well, I don't know what game you played, but in the Dishonored I was playing, I was basically given a target to kill(or not if i chose to), and was given free reign to go about it however I wanted to. I could go straight to the target, or explore the area as much as I wanted doing side quests and finding secrets. I had control over pretty much everything, from the route I took, to whether or not I killed/incapacitated/just avoided each enemy, which powers I upgraded and used, who I spoke to. I could control how much of the story I was exposed to, and whether the guards were even aware of my existence. The way I played the game changed how easy/hard later levels were and how guards reacted to discovering me.

Calling the game linear is something I can not even begin to understand.
