Worst spelling of a name ever

I remember in school handing out jotters i got to one with the name siobhan or as i pronounced it psy-ob-han. She was ****ed because i handed out everyone elses and dumped hers in the absent pile, siobhan = shiv-on? Are you kidding me?

Clearly you've never been outside of the UK, and if you have it doesn't show.

Siobhan is a very common name, surprised people don't know how to pronounce it.

I dislike unusual spellings for the sake of being unusual, like Rebekah, Mykel for example. Ahleckz, however, is an awesome spelling of Alex. ;)

Try:
Iolo - yolow
Iain - Ian
Aeron - Air on
Blodwedd - Blod weth

My fave of the day:
GOLEUDDYDD - Gol yutheth

All of the above are how you would pronounce it in South Walian too. North and Mid would pronounce it slightly differently.

Caoimhe -

North of Ireland - Keeva
South of Ireland - Qweva

I didnt know this until arguing with a girl from Dublin that she wanted to sound
more fancy, until she showed me the pronouciation of it.

I was wrong.

I like Oisin - Osh een

My brother's girlfriend's mother is called Morag. Scottish apparently, but again, sounds like the name of a dragon in a fantasy book or something.

Dragon? no no no..

I moved to Ireland 5 months ago. What a head ****.

In addition to the above:

Fiarchra - Fear-Kra
Eimear - Eee-mur
Aisling - Ash-Ling
Blathnaid - Blon-ned
Dearbhal - Derv-la
Cliodna - Cleaner
Sorcha - Surcha

Basically I'm screwed.
