Never found anything personally but my wife was at a work do and went to get some salad and there was a HUGE dead spider sitting in the bowl, the company that did the catering for the event is the same one that does the NHS.

on a serious note i found a large chunk of plastic in a curry at a restaurant, the cook tried to say it was a hard piece of onion?!?

after making a bit of a scene i got the meal and wine on the house!

A stone in a Carbonarra at Frankie and Bennys. We got a refund for all our meals. Was a surprise really but it hasn't stopped us going back. My favourite chain.

Several live greenfly on the side salad for jacket potato with tuna in a cafe once.

They refunded the meals and we went back many times without incident. Must've just forgot to rinse the lettuce... at least it was fresh!

A friend found a shard of metal in his dish at a restaurant once on their big opening night. Told them about it discretely rather than kicking up a fuss and when it came to pay the bill they waived the bill for the whole table. There was 12 people eating!

I found a dead fly in a jar of freeze dried coffee. Just opened it and there he was all overdosed on coffee.

Little slugs or caterpillars in brocolli now and then, which isn't a huge deal and is bound to happen. Some horror stories in here though!
