Worth an upgrade to a 3070/3080 with my setup?

I've a bit out of touch in terms of GPU's and have been considering a jump from my quite respectable 5700XT to something along the lines of a 3070 or 3080 - my question is, will by existing CPU be a bottleneck for such an upgrade and will my existing PSU cut the mustard?

Specs as per my signature but in case it's not showing I've got a Ryzen 5 5600X and a 750W Corsair PSU - usage is mainly gaming at 1440p

A 3070/3070ti/3080 would be a sound investment for a very fast 1440p upgrade.
Your PSU will be fine. I run a 3080, a 5950x, one each of a NVME, SATA SSD & mechanical hard drive, 9 fans and a 360mm AIO on a 650W.

The question is, do you have to upgrade or do you just have cash laying around and are bored haha

I don't see much wrong with your setup, what games do you play though?

Just FYI and I dont know what your gaming requirements are but when I play IL2 or DCS in VR it max's out my 3070's vram and causes stuttering. Of course I realise I'm a niche gamer and you could be playing csgo and overwatch which would never hit that vram

I don't necessarily have the cash just laying around but every now and again I just get the upgrade itch to be honest!

Gaming-wise I play 7 Days to Die a lot plus racing games and some FPS's.

I don't need a better GPU, but I want to be sure that if I have an impulse buy, I won't have to change other components to be able to accommodate!

I have a 5600 and it's been fine with my 3080 Ti. In fact I just got it as a budget upgrade to my 8 year old platform and saw a massive improvement.
