Worth bothing with an 8800GT with 9800 just around the corner?

I've seen the PNY GeForce 8800 GT 512MB on this week only for £146.86. It looks great value but I'm wondering if it'll be worth buying one with the better 9800 serise cards coming out on the 11th of March.

I'm assuming from what everyones being saying they 9800 cards are just re-badged 8800s that have been overclocked a little. If that's true I feel it wouldn't be worth paying a lot more money for a new card that'll likely just get me an extra 2 frames a second in games.

I was in the same boat. Thinking of getting an 8800GT now, maybe a GTS and just clocking it. Saying that though, I hardly ever play games on my PC now. Duke4 needs to come out already

I would hang on to see.

The only thing that will happen to the 8800 cards is a drop in price when the 9 series

hits so I would just wait and see for a week or two.
