I buy 50 quid ones ish but the coating starts peeling then rusting and the metal becomes brittle. I mainly do noodles in and i think its all the steam that cant escape even tho theres vents i never see any steam lwaving them i presume the fan in it if it has one spins when its on. I cook uncovered as in a bowl with noodles then hot water then turn on for few mins and the inside gets all steamy. Also water condenses under the glass plate and sick of drying it with kitchen towels.
Is there a microwave that has a coating that doesnt deteriorate cos of steam and properly vents steam with uncovered food that has a lot of hot water like noodles in?
Sick of buying one then few years later it gets in a state with rust etc.
Any recommendations for one. Not gona buy a 300 quid one but i might be able to budget a hundred or slightly more. Long as it really wont peel i think i could budget for all stainless. I just had a look at recommended lists but they dont really say much about steam - rust prevention or if the stainless steel is interior or just the outside casing. I did hear about ceramic ones, whats those like? Id love a microwave where you dont have to stir halfway through cooking ready meals etc tho.
Had 2 microwave covers once, was sick of cleaning it as had notches iirc which are stubborn. Lazy btw so ease of cleaning would be nice if i could find one that was smooth.
