Worth buying a PS3 just for MGS and GT?

I already missed out on at least one social occasion due to me playing mgs4 *sniff* Currently on my second play through though but I can't see it lasting all summer on its own :)
 
Instead of making my own thread I might as well use this one.

Whats the cheapest way I can get playing MGS4? Ive already started financing a PS3, im thinking of buying a pre-owned one at Gamestation or similar, but I do love that new box feeling.

Also, do I need anything else for MGO? Headset etc? Or does it all come in with the PS3? Wifi and their online service is free isnt it?

Its either a PS3 and MGS4 or Battlefield BC on my 360.

I hadnt factored in some things. It would appear I would also be buying a wireless headset, a proper rumbley controller and some trigger things for it and a HDMI cable..
 
I think new ones come with Dual Shock 3 rumble pads now. I would like to know though does it just come with a crappy AV cable or component or what?
 
new ones dont come with ds3 afaik...
any cheap bt headset will work :D, again for an hdmi cable (5'er max?)
triggers imo aint needed.

Try getting a 40gb seocnd hand? Console can be had for 200-240. I paid 270 last week for a 120gb hdd (and original 40gb), hdmi, 02 blue headset and extended warrenty also a few dvd's and a bluray.
