Last gen I started with the Xbox One. Got bored and bought a PS4 Pro. Which I enjoyed but then game pass came along and I replaced it with a Series S then a X. Mainly using Gamepass for Flight Sim these days and Forza and that’s about it.
Will a PS5 jumpstart my excitement for games again or just a waste of money.

Does it have certain games you want to play that you can't get elsewhere?

I bought one for FF7 Rebirth, finished that and 16 and sold it afterwards. No point in owning something like that unless there's some sort of draw, the haptics are nice in some titles but certainly not a big enough sole reason to buy a PS5.

From somebody who has both systems I do feel like ps5 is worth it, games just tend to perform better out the 2 consoles. If you then play on the ps5 a lot more than you do the series X you could trade in the Xbox series X and ps5 and put it towards the pro when it comes out this year.

The only thing that really tempts me is Silent Hill Remaster and Gran Turismo so far.

If you have a half decent PC, the new Silent Hill is getting a PC release at some point.

I've heard rumours that Gran Turismo is getting ported too, but I've no idea about the validity of those claims.

Unfortunately no room for a pc these days. The room we used for said PC in the past is now a wardrobe!!! So console only these days

Not really convinced that there are any ps5 exclusive titles worth the cost of the system if your already have a Xbox and aren’t selling it. Returnal is great but not worth the cost of the console alone.

If anything I’d say buy a Nintendo switch as that has quite a few exclusive games (Mario, Zelda, fire emblem, Metroid, etc) which are worth buying the system for IMO.

I have an xbox series S I bought for game pass but haven’t used it much so was really a waste of money.

No interest in PC gaming. I have a PS5 and a Switch and that’s perfect for what I need.

This setup FTW. All you really need for 99% of the best games out there as far as I’m concerned.

Ive got a PS5, series X and gaming laptop

Currently, PS5 gets most use, series x mainly for flight sim and anything else interesting on gamepass. Laptop I use for rts games, total war e.g and city builders.

I use the PS5 for most AAA games, though to be honest I get bored with both consoles of late, nothing much interests me. If flight sim didn't exist on xbox I would have sold my xbox ages ago! Thats really the only thing from stopping me selling it.

There are a few decent exclusives that make getting a PS5 worth it IMO.
Definitely I would say more playstation than Xbox on the games front.

Just bare in mind if you have a Xbox already and buy cod every year it's going on game pass day one so that's handy for subscribers. I have both but will probably still buy it on playstation.

To be honest I've spent more time on my PS5 recently than on my PC... could be because my PC is due for an upgrade but that's besides the point haha! I think the exclusives are for sure a reason but also it's just easy to put it in rest mode and pick up from where you left off as if you just paused the game I think is a very neat feature

Any particular reason for not playing COD via gamepass and buying it on ps5 instead?
