Looking at doing this becuz I dont want to bottleneck my GPU and more games are beginning to use quad cores, like BF3.

Also does anyone know how well the 760 overclocks?

If not, should I buy a new Mobo and i5 2500k and which boards would one recommend?

thanks for your wisdom and guidance :)

what cooler are you using on the CPU? A 760 will overclock easily to 4GHz, 4.4GHz is manageable. Your best off getting the game and see how it runs first before deciding to upgrade. How much is the 760?

Using a Corsair H50 cooler, so hybrid water/air. Looking at getting one off ebay, hopefully about £85. Was looking to do that as a cheap upgrade instead of a new mobo/2500k.

What do u think?
