Worth getting AMD Opteron 175 Dual Core for gaming?

i noticed a difference going from an opty146 to a x2 4800+, but only when i was running vista, it was negligible in XP, which was odd, but still, good.
 
if you have the latest patch of FEAR you *might* see some difference as it is meant to perform better on multi core processors. Otherwise the difference is negligible
