Worth getting an SSD now?

I've had my eye on getting an SSD for some time but decided to wait until i build a whole new rig, which should happen in 2-3 months.

However, the Crucial M4 is currently on offer and i'm wondering if its worth going for it now even though my current rig is not Sata 3. Or, should i wait until i have the cash to build my whole new rig by which time SSDs might have dropped in price a touch or better ones released?

Wait until you need it. No such thing as a sale I can guarantee it'll be cheaper in 3 months time and hopefully be more reliable choices.

Speeds are already faster than people can tell the difference, so waiting is pointless, really.

And technology is always cheaper 3 months down the road, using that logic you'd never buy anything! ;)

Buy now. Wack it in current rig. Enjoy the speeeeeeeediness.

I'm running Intel G2's day-to-day and I'd put them both on you not being able to tell the difference between them and the newer gen drives!

I'd be tempted to wait, just so you get everything new and upgraded at once, no need to mess around with old drivers etc...

plus, if everything is new and awesome, the difference to your current rig will be far greater :D
