I have a 3yr old sli motherboard (see in sig), and when in sli mode the pcie slots are 8x. Would another 3870 work with my board
How good are ati cards in sli, cos I had 2 6800GT card in my system 3 yrs ago when I built my system, and it was the worst £600 on cards that ive spent, and I dont want to make the same mastake twice.
When I had 2 6800gt cards, my probs were.....
1. Heat
2. Probs running all games without a prob, and always waiting for new drivers to come out, to see if it had fixed any probs.
3. vsync didnt work with sli
4. Not a huge boost in games with sli.
To be honnest I cant believe Im even thinking about sli again cos I had no end of probs with nvida.. Basically are ati any better with sli, or should I still stay well away from the whole dual card thing??
