Currently have sky movies, but the current package is about to run out and I am considering Netflix. All devices seem compatable and it seems to be much cheaper than sky movies. Thoughts?

mmmmm, it's ok for old stuff at a push

Movies can't compete with Sky as they are 12 months behind

I pay £3 a month for it, kids seem happy with the cartoons. Whenever I'm in the mood to watch a film, torrents seem to win over netflix

With unblock-US you'll be watching movies WAY before they hit sky. Just flick over to Canada, Brazil & Netherlands, they get everything early. US is strangely behind like the UK.

Canada has Nightcrawler while it was still at the cinema here.

With TV, Netherlands were showing Penny Dreadful S2 weekly before it got to the UK.

I enjoy Netflix. Certainly think it's worth the monthly fee. I don't really use it to watch movies though and mainly watch TV shows and switch between various regions to get more content.

They seem to be cracking down a bit on using other countries libraries mind.

The UK selection alone isn't amazing - reasonable spread of older stuff and some newer stuff - some of the netflix originals/exclusives are quite good but they don't make quite enough of them per year to justify it on that alone IMO.

Online streaming availability is starting to seriously annoy me in the UK - Fear the Walking Dead for instance shows up on Amazon Prime in about 40% of European countries within 2 days of airing and on various services including AMC's own site in other regions around the world but (probably due to the deal with BT) won't be available here until almost this time next year.

just start a netflix free trial and cancel membership before you forget.

in that month you will likely think netflix is great until youve seen everything that interests you.
