well I've got 3 weeks to keep looking. Tbh I've only gone on the compare sites and let them all ring me. When it gets closer to the time I'll ring around them all.
It's a funny thing insurance. If I say my van is worth more it's cheaper ;-/ when me and the wife were looking and a brand new car it was only 500 quid for us both with the wife just passing her test. So in that sense I think they think because it's a new car you will look after it more. But if I smashed it up they would have to pay more out...
When my wife was learning we got a £300 banger (1.3 getz ) (was like a little rocket hehe) her provisional insurance was £45 a month but they say learners are less likely to cash because they check more and drive safely (total lie I have to tell the wife off all the time for driving like a man)
Also changing your milage can make a difference. I do put a true milage but how can they check? They can look at your MOT but who's to say you didn't lend your van/car out and they put a load of miles on it???
