worth installing windows 7

Only just installed it on a virtual pc on my main rig. Not really had a good chance to use it yet other than installing Avira onto it. Might try installing it on a spare rig at some point to see how it runs on that.
 
I don't know why but I feel the need for an Exposé type feature in Windows 7, I know there is FLip 3D but it's of limited use. I don't know if it is a side effect of the new task bar or that I've been hanging arounf too many Macs recently.
 
Be aware that punkbuster will not be supported (and currently does not work) on win7 until it is out of beta.

It's worth a look for a play m8 no harm in having a peek then if you become unhappy with it remove it.

Just dual boot.

Same here mate, No problems really with it at all, stable as a rock, Using it as my main OS.

I did have a problem where if I left the pc on & turned the monitor off. When I came back to use the PC it was putting my GFX into VGAsave mode, which would change my resolution to something weird, restarts always fixed it. That seems to have cleared up now & I'm not having the problem no more.
 
i enjoyed it and for my hp laptop it had every single driver! used it for 4 weeks and then wiped as i needed my laptop back for a few work progs that would not run right and could not find a wireless printer driver which i found to be a pain. however it worked fine, no crashed and i enjoyed it. will def buy when it comes out and may try the beta again on my home pc if i can digout another hard drive
 
its on a fresh drive my old vista is still on my main c: i haven't used normal vista since installing w7 and i just tryed to load the boot manger with f5 on pos and no vista 64
 
tell me about it :) this is the second time ive installed windows 7 first time i did the upgrade option cuase my friend said you could uninstall it and guess what you couldn't so system is safe and sound now :) cant wait till the full rtm comes out

yeah me neither, i think the IT world is ready for it, Vista was just to demanding on system specs, now the IT hardware is bang upto date and the drivers are easy to mod from vista no reason why ms can't nail this one
