Worth swapping X850Xt card?

Hi I am running an AMD64 3700 with 2 Gb of ram on a DFI LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D, with a Radeon X850XT graphics card. Considering I only have a Viewsonic 19" TFT and normally use a res of 1152x864, is it worth changing my card?

I get a bit of slow down in games such as FEAR, and would like a card that would comfortably run games at my monitors native res.

I swapped my X850XT for an HISX1900XT and play on a similar res (1280x1024) and I have to say its great. Its overkill for games like CSS but games that couldn't get stable a FPS on run perfectly, I'm running a 4800+ as well.

What about the Connect3D ATI Radeon X1900 XT 256MB on this week only deal? Is there a big difference between a X1900 XT and an X1950 ?

1900xt 256 is slower than 1950xtx but faster then 1950pro,but until a few people get a 1950pro and benches it i not sure how good they are

My native res for my monitor is 1280x1024, but my games a unplayable with everything maxed at that res, So games are played at 1152x864 with a few thing turned down.

I am after the best bang for buck card I can get that will enable me to play at that res with ease with everything maxed out. I intend to swap my CPU, board and memory, as soon as I have the funds. :)

pretty sure 1900xt or maybe even the 1800xt will play all current games maxed at the res you want

What are your thoughts on swapping over to the Connect3D ATI Radeon X1900 XT 256MB GDDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-053-CO)? Its at £164.49 Including VAT on this week only special.

The 7900GTO is a great card for the price, very happy with mine.

Yeh I just upgraded to the 7900GTO last week from an x1600xt. My frames and graphics have improved loads so I would definatly recommend an upgrade. Fear can pretty much play maxed out but if you want the frams turn the settings down a tad.

So I would suggest either going for a GTO or if your looking at ATI the X1900XT.
