i was thinking of upgrading to http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-090-OC&tool=3 I'm currently using the memory that came with my dell 720 (667mhz) will i notice a improvement in performance?

No you won't notice much difference at all it won't be an upgrade since you're moving from 4gb to 2gb. If it's a dell then it's unlikely that the bios will have any option to tweak the memory to get the most out of the ram.

Besides you are not likely to see the difference between DDR2 667 & 800 as I have briefly tested here.

Aslong as you already have 2gb you will probably not notice and difference at all.

say if i get 4gb of that ram and enable sli memory in the bios, there surly must be something better with sli ram

no, sli mem does nothing other than setting optimum timings automatically according to the speed you set it at, useful when overclocking. Otherwise the difference is very small.
