Worth the Upgrade?

Currently mulling over the prospect of upgrading my XFX Geforce 7800GTX 256MB for a ATI X1900XT-X.

Due the native resolution of my TFT I play games at 1600x1200 for the most part.

This a worthy upgrade for a performance boost?

i did that very thing and then went straight back (returned it), i couldn't stand the noise and the crappy control panel.

There was zero difference in IQ and the only difference in speed I noticed was in 3dmark06 (800pts extra).
