worth upgrading 5850 to 6950 ?

yeah the 6950 doesn't seem worth the money but damn adding a second 5850 is pretty cheap and the performance increase is substantial. I think I'd need a new psu though :(

You need a 650+ Watt power supply unit if you use it in a high-end system. That power supply needs to have (in total accumulated) at least 55~60 Amps available on the +12 volts rails.
 
The cost of a new psu + another 5850 would cost me roughly £200 though bah. Currently using a corsair 520w which I'm sure wouldn't resell for much.
 
I like to call it future proofing were my friends call it spending money to upgrade when the upgrade isnt needed :D

A decent Gold graded PSU one month with a decent Wattage for the future as it seems 8pin is becoming the new 6pin which Im guessing the 7xxx series will run on, then grab the GPU the month after might even catch it in a OCuk sale like i did.

And Ive been drooling over double 5850's since I opened the box to my first one lol
 
i have a BeQuiet 700w or 800w psu , now sure what wattage and the box is somewhere in storage.

if its 700w will it be able to run 2 x hd 5850 ? it better ! i cant really aford to fork out the extra cash for a psu after i buy a second 5850 and 2 aftermarket coolers of them.
