Currently using a Crucial T500 4TB Gen4 M2 as my main drive. Zero issues.
Was thinking of giving a Gen5 drive a go like the WD SN8100 which is supposed to run reasonably cool.

Any reason (besides money), I shouldn't do this ?

As I use my PC for regular windows use (browsing, youtube, email) and gaming (replaced my Xbox Series X), I suspect the only thing I will notice is the higher temps.
Maybe I'm wrong.

I mean if I can't notice a difference coming from a SATA SSD on my previous PC to a PCIe 4.0 M.2 on this one... good luck noticing any difference going from PCIe 4.0 to PCIe 5.0 SSD.

Admittedly, Windows 11 is terrible, bloated and slow as an OS (as is Windows 10). Makes me wonder how fast Windows XP or Windows 7 would boot up if they were still safe to use these days.
