Hello everyone. Just wondering if its worth upgrading yet. Im currently running a 4870X2 with a 920 at stock speeds dont trust myself enough to overclock. Would it be worth upgrading yet or wait a little longer.

+1 for waiting, you've got a pretty sweet setup. The only potential upgrade would be for dx11, but there aren't really any games out yet, so you should be fine for now mate.

It's not worth upgrading until you arn't happy with the performance your current card gives you.
TBH you've probably got at least a year left in your 4870x2 before you'll have to start turning down settings.

+2 stock speeds is good but if you can get it to around 3.6 you'll defo notice the difference!

Thanks

Thanks for all the replies. I was only thinking of upgrading my graphics card mainly for DX11 but its still pretty young so i think Im gonna wait. Also some of you mentioned I should OC my CPU i wouldn't even no where to start doing that also i only have the stock cooler. So if you guys no how or could point me in the direction of a guide on how to do that, that would be great.

That's definitely the best course of action. ATi is due to release the 5970 soon and nVidia has yet to reveal its hand, while currently no games make any worthwhile use of DX11.

dude, I'm still running an x1950xtx here, with a 4870X2 I wouldn't worry about upgrading -at least- until Green shows us what they have and finally ends the madness that is the GPU market at the moment.

You can run pretty much anything currently out so there is no reasonable way you can justify an update outside of beating benchmark scores, and that, my friend, is a foolish reason.

I say wait...
