Right, apologies - I am completely new to this sort of stuff.
I'm looking to get a PC rig shortly and I want to connect it to the internet of course. As it is, in my household there is a wireless network running off of a wireless modem. Am I right in thinking that I could use a spare ethernet cable to get a powerline signal to a PC in another room (forgoing the wireless option)? Would this disrupt the existing wireless network or not?
The reason I'm looking at powerline adaptors is because of the supposed speed benefit over wireless, but if I'm being ridiculous and there is another cheaper/more efficient option I should consider please do point it out!
Cheers for your help.
