Worthwhile upgrade?

I'm currently running a C2D E7200 @ 3.2-3.3Ghz, and while I had my 8800GT card in I felt there wouldnt be very significant gains to be had by clocking it much further. (Stock speed is 2.53Ghz for that chip)

I can get hold of an E8400 for very little money, and am wondering if you think its worth bothering with upgrading to that, now that I've recently bought a GTX 460?

Will it give the 460 a bit more of a helping hand, with having more cache and a higher FSB?

I'm more concerned with the hateful mechanism that my Arctic Cooling CPU cooler uses to attach to the motherboard to be honest!

I damaged 1 leg swapping the cooler direction recently, not sure how much more damage it'll take before it breaks.

Will have to see when I can get a good time to perform the swap

I still MUCH prefer the AMD clip version of the cooler!

(easier to understand for us northern monkies)
