I currently have a 6850 hd And am thinking of upgrading to a 7850 my question is is this a worthwhile upgrade or is the 6950 a better choice?

Side grade at best, you might get better performance from overclocking but your playing the silicon lottery in that case. A 7950 would be a better bet but if i were i would keep what have as it still a great card maybe get another and run in xfire for 170.

There is a club edition 6950 on the way from ocuk for £170 just so you know :) which is a great price. Been umming and ahhhhring all day on what to choose myself and i would go for the 7850. Its only £30 more and by all accounts have good oc head room as well

Brilliant thanks for all the replys guys think I shall go down the 7850 route.
Yeah I did see the 6950 club that made me throw that into the mix!

Personally looking at the msi 7850 with its oc of 900mhz on the core already couped with its 2gb vram that would be more than enough to run games like bf3 on high settings at 1080p. Im not sure about ultra settings never used them myself but any game on high should be fine. I wouldnt spend the extra £70 no real need unless you wanna apply loads of aa in game then its perhaps a different story

Yeah I'm looking at that exact one also!!
It looks like a nice spec card,I do wonder though how dual 6850s would compare! Anyone?
