more ram - generally a good idea
new gpu - if it's game framerate you struggle with
ssd - if it's disk activity you struggle with

Crucial M4 120GB SSD, up you RAM to 8GB and overclock your CPU if you haven't done so already.

If you're looking to improve gaming performance then obviously new GPU or go Crossfire with another 6870.

Yeah not a bad idea then. Go for 8GB RAM (or another matched 4GB set), 120GB SSD and Windows 7 64 bit.
