Would an arcade joystick work with lego games? Xbox controller to complicated for 5 year old with CP

Hi,

My 5 year old daughter has Cerebral Palsy (CP) and really wants to game. Problem is xbox controllers are just to fiddly as she struggles with fine motor skills. Does anyone know if a arcade joystick would work in something like a lego game which don't use a right thumbstick. Don't really want to drop any cash on something just for it not to work and upset her.

If you had mame there is a whole catalogue of old arcade games that she might enjoy playing. They were built for a stick so are simple to control. These games maybe aren't as forgiving though.
