Would an sshd do any better than hdd as storage?

Very close to filling up my 1tb hdd storage drive in laptop, so will need to upgrade, but price wise would an sshd perform any better or is that irrelevant when it comes to storage?

For bulk storage little to no benefit from a sshd unless you are mainly using the same files from the drive. Generally they learn what files result in the quickest OS and application/game startup/loading times and that is about it.

Only worth it for regular accessed files. You would get better performance spending similar money on a WD Black HDD.

Get a 500gb ssd a 1tb usb hdd and a 2tb backup usb hdd

I assume you laptop only has 1 drive and you would like it to be 4x faster

Sshd,will be quicker than a standard hdd,but at current ssd prices id just grab a large single ssd,they use much less power than the other types of hdd,sshd aswell
