As the title suggests, I was wondering if anyone here would be kind enough to program a PIC12C508/9 for me if I sent it to them or if you've a spare you don't want/need! Or if you were to source a chip for me too (quicker than me buying a chip from the bay, waiting for it to arrive then sending it to you). Can pay for it of course!

It's a hex program. Not sure I can talk about the program here though which is annoying!
Have you tried looking on Rapid Electronics? They sell a variety of ready made and cheap PIC programmers and a massive variety of PIC microcontrollers.
I sourced a Velleman VM111 Programmer for £30 and it came with a PIC16F619.
It has its own program utility to burn hex files to the chip.
The program must be a simple one as it's only an 8pin

Haha, just that I need to get all the other bits too (soldering iron, kynar wire etc) and I've already spent a bit on other bits so I thought I'd ask if anyone would be able to do it cheaper Also the one available for purchase is in the US I believe so I'm not sure how long it'd take to get here (and I'm somewhat impatient ). If I can't get anyone to do it I will just buy the pre-programmed one but I thought it'd be worth a shot at least
