the name is the most important thing. 18A on a 12V rail = 216W, so your going to need a new PSU (a 216W 12V line is frankly dreadful for a 500W PSU. i would have expected that from a 250W PSU). you would have needed a new PSU no matter what you chose though, because by the sound of things that PSU is a no brand/unknown brand, which is asking for troble

It's very nice that you've ordered the GTX 460 but if your PSU is as dreadful as it seems it won't be able to run it.
