Would I be sad if...

I went to a certain supermarket chain at midnight and picked up a copy of MOH-Airborne?
They've said it'll be on the shelf just after midnight.
The consensus so far is: Missus laughed and said 'sad git' and my stepdaughter and her boyfriend said I wouldn't be sad.

Who cares?! Don't care what anyone else thinks - just go for it... if your that worried - go and get some food whilst at said supermarket and act as if you went shopping or something :p

Haven't bought a game at midnight release before but I've waited around for shops to open first thing Friday (Memorable experiences being FFVII, Resident Evil and Black&White).

Go for it. If you don't need to be up early and want the game, go for a midnight drive and pick it up.

only sad if you throw a sicky from work tommorow to play it :)

i've thrown week long sickies the last 2years before i became self employed on release of Football Manager

I didnt even realise it was out tommorow. I just read the reviews which are decent enough but they say its 6-8 hours Single player game time.

I dont think I'd go out late for that. You will be finished by the morning ;)

I'd only be able to play for about two hours before I would need to sleep.
If we weren't so busy at work I'd pull a sickie tomrrow but my boss knows how much I want to play this game.
Enough comments here to justify me doing this for the first time ever but I can see me doing it again when COD4 is released. :)

I've not purposely been around for launch at midnight for any particular game, but I've picked up games a couple of times. I've also got my hands on LotR (DVD) a day or two prior to release due to midnight cockups and have been to Harry Potter launch (most recent) with the missus. I went and bought some vodka and cheese balls, she went and queued. I had no interest in the book btw :D

Bad mistake..
I get to said supermarket, shelf-fillers couldn't tell me anything with regard to when they'd be putting it on the shelf.
The only manager they could find was clueless, wasn't even sure if they had received the game yet.
He also lacked the braincells to check their computer inventory system.

Lesson learnt - don't be so impatient and wait until the birds are singing and it is daylight.
Thank god my missus is asleep, she'd pee herself laughing!

lol, they don't normally put out game unless its a mega release, went out at midnight for the 360/Wii launch to grab some stuff to sell on for a profit.

I was going to say that that might be the case.
