at the moment i have a coolermaster storm scout and an akasa venom with 1 fan on backing onto a case fan in a push pull config. i am soon to buy a 700d along with a CoolIT Eco A.L.C. CPU Watercooler or a Corsair H50-1 High-Performance CPU Watercooler, the temps i am getting at the moment are:

core 0: 35

core 1: 34

core 2: 37

core 3: 32

would i still get around these temps in a 700d with one of the coolers listed above with two fans on the rad in push pull?

thanks :)

Those are idle temps, so they would roughly be the same no matter what cooler or chase you used. Load temps is where it matters.

Also if you are considering the Coolit/Corsair coolers, personally you would be better off with the Thermalright Silver Arrow or the Noctua NH-D14, both being cheaper and will cool a lot better.

i agree nice coolers but i am VERY concened about air cooling in a case that has a nickname of "like opening an oven door" :(

Well any case is like that, if you don't sort out proper case cooling (fans). The coolit and corsair coolers, are not water cooling, well ok they are, but they are really really at the bottom end of it, and the 2 coolers i mentioned beat them very easily.

Now i know its your choice, but in all honesty the 2 coolers you are looking at won't help as much as you are thinking of trust me on that.

If you have a look at this comparasion of the coolers mentioned, you will see what i mean.

So as long as you have sufficent case cooling, couple of intakes, couple of outtakes, there won't be an issue at all, did those that nicknamed the case that, give it decent cooling.

somthing like, bottom intake, back intake, top three fans, air cpu cooler, hdd cooler, psu fan pusing down.

that would be my setup if i air cooled, the fans would all be akasa venoms or Sharkoon Silent Eagle 1000s

Yeh something along those lines, i generally try and have back and top as out takes as heat rises. And bottom/hardrive ones as intakes as they are lower. Also i use my psu as a outtake also, some do some don't.

Its really all about testing when its all there to be honest, one persons setup may not work for another, so always best to different configurations.

So i would deffinatly advise making sure any case has good cooling, those silent eagles are good for that. And would compliment either of those 2 coolers i mentioned.

So in essence, im just trying to make sure you know the coolit/corsair are not pure water, they are the same as some top end air coolers, and the 2 i mentioned beat them, and costs less.

ok so what do you reccomend, getting a Noctua NH-U12P SE2 Dual Fan and then putting three silent eagles on the top as outakes, and bottom fans which will be xignmatek crystal red leds at the bottom of case as intakes, they will be at the bottom of the case and one just above that (in psu section and bottom case flat panal thing with the watercooling gromits if you know what i mean) and also have the standered hdd fan to cool hdd's

thanks :)

Yeh that seems like a good plan, minus the cpu cooler, the DH14 is better, and so is the Silver arrow.

Iv sent you a trust e-mail with some links to places selling them both (with stock) so u can see the prices and specs.

For the cost of the noctua u mentioned, the silver arrow/DH14 makes more sense, as they are better, and the same sorta cost.
