Hi guys.

My current pc is a touch out of date. 4 years actually.

Im looking for advice on a new...

  • Motherboard
  • CPU
  • Memory
  • Graphics card

My budget is around £800. I will be using it mainly for gaming if possible on that budget.

All the other bits and bobs I can manage on my own and are not included in the £800 budget

Thanks very much for any help given. Mark.

I'd go with Jaffa_Cake's spec, but using the Crucial Ballistix RAM stinka suggested. That way it's pretty much bang on £800, and the motherboard is better in Jaffa_Cake's spec (clocking and memory bandwidth-wise, plus wlil support new Penryn chips when they come out)

Ive got a friend with that G. Skill ram clocked to 1050MHz @ 5-4-4-12 on stock voltage. Which is better than the Ballistix can do I beleive :)

Hi guys. I have yet to buy these compnents that Jaffa cake has posted, and since then, my current computer has died a death. If possible, could someone please spec addtional parts to make a complete system. I have a 22" monitor so am not fussed about that.

Thanks in advance :)
