Hi is the above possible, at the moment firefox will either start or if started will change to the site clicked by the link in the mail, but i would like it to pop up over the mail like when opening a new tab it comes to the front, so is it possible and how ?
Thanks

I am on a phone right now and can't recall exactly. But I think there is an option in the settings such as 'open links in new tab'.

Thanks but I have that and that works what I am trying to do to bring ff to the front when I click a link in my email, at the moment ff changes pages but doesn’t come to the forefront

I'm assuming you're checking your mail via the browser, which email provider is it? Clicking a link in Gmail and Outlook web opens a new tab for me.

EDIT: Just reread it, do you mean Windows doesn't focus to Firefox when opening a link from an email from another app, eg Mail?

On a desktop?

You can do it through FF and Windows.

Through FF:

Options - Under General tick "Always check if Firefox is default browser"

Through Windows:

Start - Settings - Apps - Default Apps

Choose FF for Web Browser.

okay checking mail in win 10 default mail program and using FF as my default browser but if viewing mail and i click a link FF will start but stay behind the mail window, if FF is already started it will change pages to the link but still stay in the background, is this the default action, maybe i am too used to ios

It's not the default action, I use W10 mail and FF as well, clicking a link in the email opens up a new tab on FF and brings it up to focus, this happens on both my desktop and Surface.

Does the same issue happen when Edge/Chrome is set as the default browser?

just tried edge and it works as I would suspect, click a link in email and edge starts and the page loads and it jumps to the front of mail
