Hi I am looking at taking the plunge in building my first computer sytem.I have changed lots of parts(motherboard, drives etc. ) and installed software on previous computers, So I am not completely green. But I would just like some advice on if these system componets are all compatable and would they leave me some room to overclock the system. Thanks in advance for help.

the changes i would suggest are a 780i motherboard, such as the evga or xfx, change to 4gb of pc 6400 ram in a 2x2gb kit and vista 64 thats only my opinion others may have other suggestions:) good luck with your build mate.

Yep 4gb PC6400 ram with vista home premium 64bit would be better. And perhaps a Tuniq Tower or Thermalright Ultra-120 if you want to overclock.

Don't think there is really any need for SLI a single 8800GTS 512mb should handle games well even at 1920x1200.

gotta agree about the graphics card, i have an 8800gts 512, i mainly play cod4 theese days, 1920x1200 all settings highest 4x aa/af set to highest in the game menu, average 80fps going by fraps, im gonna add a second gts cause i fancy trying sli again, besides gts cards are so cheap now.
