would this monitor be suitable ?

hello there.

I was interested in this screen for a small bedroom.

the plan was to use it as my desktop display ( via display port) none gaming.
but also i wanted to attach a sky HD Box via HDMI but i noticed in
the description it says (HDMI 30Hz) and sky runs at 50Hz BUT does the 30Hz
mean for the 4k output via computer? lol.

i also want to attach my Xbox One to it.

hope my waffling has made sense and someone can help?

PS-graphics card is an old nvidia gforce 560ti (i'm sure it has displayport on it) and is this monitor decent ? i wanna wach netflix via desktop.

It means it can output 4K@30Hz via HDMI. If you are running 1080P the HDMI connection should be able to output 60Hz just fine. Are you getting Sky UHD 4K?

This monitor looks more than decent, it's overkill

i'm one of the few people to like the soap opraph effect on modern tv's
so in that respect when i'm watching netflix via the desktop would a
monitor of 120hz be better or is 60hz the fastest on 4k ?

60Hz is currently the limit for '4K' UHD models, yes. The 'soap opera effect' typically comes from the use of motion interpolation, which creates intermediate frames between actual frames. Monitors do not do that, so having a 120Hz monitor in no way produces the 'soap opera effect'.

Your 560ti can only do 2560x1440 over displayport. It's a limitation on all 5xx series cards. You'll need something newer for 4k.

Not that it matters but 2560x1600 should be supported. I was thinking of 1440 because I ran the monitor in my sig on a 560ti for a short while.
