Would you always avoid a CAT D?

What is your problem?
All you seem to do is insult people and be a complete ****.

You seem upset. I didn't realise pointing out the obvious BMW bias on this sub forum was insulting. However calling someone something that it needs to be starred out automatically is surely more insulting.

Wouldn't you be offended if someone accused you of something you haven't done?
I don't look for knackered Cat Ds because I want BMW OMG INNIT and I'm fairly balanced when it comes to recommending cars, thanks.

And honestly, I don't think there is a BMW bias on this forum.
A lot of posters own BMWs, sure, but that's because they're good cars.

There is honesty on this forum. People are often told NOT to buy a BMW even though they want one.
You're just getting your knickers in a twist and you're the one spouting drivel like "buy a 318d hahahahahaha"

Why?

Something clearly rustled your jimmies enough to exact a retort and the response of calling me a **** to then go on the defensive with this post.

If you can't see the BMW bias then you're an idiot. The other day someone posted about buying a 520d, and the BMW lot got together for a good old circle jerk about how great the car was, but if someone came in posting about how they'd bought a Audi A6 2 litre diesel he'd have been torn a new *******, despite both being perfectly fine cars.

There is honesty on this forum.

Ha.

People are often told NOT to buy a BMW even though they want one.

In the rare instances the person who is intending to buy one has a budget that only qualifies to purchase something that falls into the buy it and drive it to death for a year. At which point the response becomes "save your money and get a 330i / 330d".

You're just getting your knickers in a twist and you're the one spouting drivel like "buy a 318d hahahahahaha"

My knickers aren't in a twist. I'm just tried of seeing "should get a 330i / 330d". They really aren't all that. Unless you're a Bavarian fanboy. Which is funny because often OCUK motors will complain about owner forums for the same fanboyism they project.

people who want so badly to fit in with the pro-BMW party line on this sub forum they'll look at knackered ropey old or CAT D cars to do so.

That happens with loads of stuff. The amount of threads people have started looking for Jap sports cars with a budget £1000 short recently has been mental.

I doubt people are making £10k purchases just to fit in on a sub section if a computer forum, its probably because they... Like the cars :o

It would be alright if there was a bit of banter going on, but your comments aren't actually funny, you just come across as being bitter.

People like you.

Regardless of the response you got from that comment (which IMHO was totally justified) was there really any need for that?

You seem upset

You seem pretty upset yourself. Bitterness

If he's going to proclaim "what the **** are you talking about" then yes. There was a need. So far, he's been the only one swearing at anyone.

You seem pretty upset yourself. Bitterness

You're misconstruing it then. Bitterness? I've driven BMWs. They're not all that. I prefer Audis or Jags if I'm going for wafty comfort or sporty sedans / estates.

Why point it out then? It makes you look bitter.

I'm not misconstruing anything. I couldn't give two hoots about BMW but I don't act surprised when discussion of a popular manufacturer happens on a car forum and I certainly don't get sand in my vagina about it like you do.

Perhaps don't look at the BMW threads if you aren't interested, there is a whole thread about Audis if that's what you like rather than spouting garbage in every thread you post in.

You're misconstruing it as me being bitter. Or did that not stick the first time?

I'm not misconstruing anything.

Yeah. You did. Twice.

I couldn't give two hoots about BMW

Good for you.

but I don't act surprised when discussion of a popular manufacturer happens on a car forum

It's the lack of surprise of yet another BMW recommendation that is the problem. Not the surprise.

and I certainly don't get sand in my vagina about it like you do.

Remember folks, if you want to avoid a suspension or banning, be rude as politely as you can. Or work at OCUK.

Perhaps don't look at the BMW threads if you aren't interested,

That would be a good idea. If people titled their threads [YET ANOTHER BMW THREAD]. Much easier to avoid.

there is a whole thread about Audis if that's what you like

I'm well aware of it.

rather than spouting garbage in every thread you post in.

Every single thread? Or just the ones involving BMWs? Because I think you're being overly dramatic when you say every thread. But that's ok, it's not like you could possibly have sand in your vagina or anything, right?

To be fair I too get bored of every what car thread having a 330i in.

Hi guys I need a cheap to run reliable hatchback.

OMG get a 330i.

It stuck, you are bitter.

No I didn't.

Nice one.

So you admit you have a problem. There is no need to be upset.

Let's agree to disagree. My place of employment has little relevance on the matter.

Should we get the forum rules changed then? Is there not a back button on your browser?

It seemed you weren't. Thought I had better point it out in case it got lost in the sea of BMW threads.

Just the BMW ones, like I said originally before your quoteathon. The only drama here is the one you are creating about a total non issue

It stuck, you are bitter.

So you're not misconstruing it? You're just slow? Ok.

No I didn't.

Three times now.

Nice one.

No doubt.

So you admit you have a problem. There is no need to be upset.

I never said I didn't have a problem. And being fed up of BMW recommendations is not the same as having a problem with them. You're the one who initiated any problem having with your tiresome gibe to my all glory quip. To which I simply responded.

Let's agree to disagree. My place of employment has little relevance on the matter.

Sure it does. I'm being very careful how I word what I say because between mods and shop staff, I'm sure there's someone just itching and waiting for an excuse to suspend me or ban me because I chose not to take lip from a staff member.

Should we get the forum rules changed then? Is there not a back button on your browser?

Maybe you should. It would save me having to press the back button.

It seemed you weren't. Thought I had better point it out in case it got lost in the sea of BMW threads.

Thanks.

Sorry. But it appears (and I know) I'm not the only one who's tired of every what car thread being full of 330 recommendations. And I'm not going to apologise for pointing it out. And as for drama, this wouldn't have kicked off if you hadn't of made your snarky tiresome gibe.

LOL at this guy.

People buy BMW cars because they are generally good cars, and are generally great all round cars with reasonable running costs while still retaining a premium feel. They are an excellent middle ground marque with a large range of models to suit almost anybody. I have had quite a few of them now for no other reason than them being pretty good cars.

I don't have one right now, but i may buy another one at some point. Is this due to influence on this forum, of course it is not. :p

Sure it does. I'm being very careful how I word what I say because between mods and shop staff, I'm sure there's someone just itching and waiting for an excuse to suspend me or ban me because I chose not to take lip from a staff member.

Not careful enough, go and wind someone up on another forum for a bit...
