Would you buy an Alfa ?

I ran a GTV V6 for about 14 months and had both love and hate for it. I had to replace the waterpump (and cambelt due to positioning), front tyres (only lasted about 8k miles), a wheel bearing, slave cylinder, and some other bits which I don't remember exactly (probably blocked it out of my mind :p). Would I buy another as a daily? No. Because I found the seating position awkward and actually quite uncomfortable. The handling wasn't good. i've been told it can be a good handling car but only when it's had considerable suspension work.

It did sound fantastic though and it looked great too. It was a definite heart over head purchase and whilst I don't regret it it did cause me a lot of anxiety!

If you like the seating position then I think the V6 especially would make a great 3rd car, I love the look of the spider too but apparently it was even more wallowy!

Hmmm, so sad to hear all these tales of woe :(

I think I will move on to looking at an MX-5

May consider a new Alfa like the Giulia or Stelvio as a main car if a good deal comes along

Can't beat Alfa in the looks department. They have always made a stunning looking motor.

Also remember they are one of the fastest depreciating cars on the market.

I bought a NC2 after the Alfa as I was done with unreliability :p

It's a better car in everyway, bar looks, sounds and power.
